If the pancreas fails, blood sugar levels will increase and cause many health problems, especially during pregnancy. This may even lead to gestational diabetes.

Due to the potential health issues they may encounter, pregnant women should be more careful when it concerns their health. There are healthy alternatives that can provide the sweet taste that pregnant women crave without consuming too much sugar. Some healthy options are fresh fruits that provide natural sweetness without added sugar. Honey and plain yogurt are other nutritious alternatives for the mother and baby. Instead of drinking soda, coffee, and other unhealthy beverages, fruit juice and fresh water is much better.
